He said hi to Jordin, he kissed Jordin, the next thing ya' know, he walks right back. We gotta get him on. Cook: What's happenin'? Snake: Look, this guy...I think he won last year. [David laughs] Snake: Wassup Mr. Cook? David: How you doin', man? Snake: How are you, sir? David: I'm good, I'm good. Snake: My goodness. Look at this guy. David: Ohhh yeah. Snake: What's it like? What's it like? David: Uh... Snake: It's been one year of craziness. David: It's been a year-- it's been a year of craziness, that's about the best way to say it. Um...actually...of all places, I just got back yesterday from The Philippines. Snake: No way! David: Yeah. Me and uh, me and Archie played a show together out there. And, and uh...and now I'm here talkin' to you. So I'm-Snake: Sooooo David: I'm a little jet-lagged. [laughs] Snake: So...you, you do a show... David: Yeah Snake: ...in The Philippines...
David: Mm-hmm Snake: ...you come back for Idol all this week. Cuz you gotta be here. Are you gonna be performing? David: Uh, yeah. We're actually gonna perform Wednesday night, uh, we're gonna perform "Permanent" from The Record. And uh...um, and I'm excited. I'm excited just to be back. Snake: Right? David: Ya' know? Yeah. Snake: Is it a big deal for you, like, when uh...you know you gotta bring it cuz you're gonna be on Idol. Cuz, what, forty million plus people... David: Yeah yeah yeah Snake: ...are gonna be watchin' you Wednesday night, bro. No pressure. David: Yeah. None. [laughs] Snake: No pressure. David: I think uh, just the fact that I get to come back, and...and kind of uh...kinda see somebody else, man, take the journey, man. It's, it's...it's been the coolest year. And uh...ya' know it, it kinda all culminated in, uh, ya' know, a year ago. And so... Snake: Right David: ...uh, I'm, I'm just stoked to see somebody else kinda...kinda come on and enjoy themselves. Snake: So we see...Jordin Sparks, we see David Cook...who are we going to see Wednesday night, sir? David: Uh...a lotta people. [Snake laughs] David: I, I know uh...there's uh... Snake: Who's gonna win it? Don't get out of it. David: Aw, man. Who's gonna win it? Who's gonna win it? Well I think...I think, uh, I, I'll play it safe. I think the guys that wins it this year is gonna be the same guy that wins it every year. And that's Simon Cowell. So... [Snake laughs]
