Sergeant - Detective Bureau, 1/2009 to 2/2011 Supervise and coordinate the investigation of criminal cases, offering guidance and expertise to investigators and ensuring procedures are conducted in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Highlighted Duties: Apply knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process in planning and conducting investigations. Review and analyze crime-related intelligence to ascertain validity of information. Use valid tips to plan strategic defense and investigative approaches. Direct collection, preparation, and handling of evidence and personal property of prisoners. Accomplishments: Fulfilled additional security-related assignments, including protective details; asset forfeiture investigations; serving on multijurisdictional taskforces; and inspection, compliance, enforcement, prevention, and deterrence functions.
