We are currently gearing up for our two biggest events for 2011 for the Optimist Club of Norwich and District and would like to th invite your company to participate in the excitement. Our two day Tractor Pull will be held on August 19th and 20 , and at the same site our Corn Maze will be open for weekends in September and October. These two events draw thousands of spectators and participants from all over south western Ontario. The money that we raise by holding these events goes right back into our local community through projects and events that our club holds that are focused on youth. Some of the projects we have sponsored in the past include Norwich Community Centre renovations, playground equipment at local parks, Medical Centre donation, Public Library donation, Harold Bishop Park pavilion, public school books, minor sports sponsorships, camp trillium, hearing aids, eyeglasses for local children, drug awareness for youth programs, scholarships and much more. Our latest project to be built in Norwich is a splash pad in Harold Bishop Park in 2012. We also sponsor many free or low cost activities for families throughout the year. Our club is part of Optimist International which was started in 1919 and is comprised of over 2,900 clubs worldwide all dedicated to “bringing out the best in Kids”. Our Norwich club is th celebrating it’s 20 anniversary this year. Each Optimist Club determines the needs of the young people in its community and conducts programs to meet those needs. Every year, Optimists conduct 65,000 service projects and serve well over six million young people worldwide. Our Norwich Optimist Club membership is comprised of 52 area residents all with very upbeat attitudes, which help empower young people to be the best that they can be in our community. It is our goal when hosting these events to work with sponsors like yourselves to cover 100% of our operating expenses so that all funds raised will go right back to our club and then into our community. With that said we are asking for your help. We have attached a package outlining the various levels of sponsorship of these events and hope that you will consider teaming th up with us on this venture. We would like to have our sponsors confirmed by June 30 , 2011 to allow for maximum advertising for everyone.
