FMS Faculty of Management Studies known as FMS Delhi established in 1954 under the aegis of the University of Delhi offers management education to the professional managers as parttime and full-time MBA programmes. It is one of the oldest business schools in India which started offering a Full Time MBA programme. The first set of professors were trained at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the institute was started at the Delhi School of Economics under the-then Dean, Prof. A. Dasgupta of Delhi College of Engineering. The institute has since then expanded on the number of management courses available. Dean of FMS Raj S. Dhankar is Dean and Professor of Finance of Faculty of Management Studies. He holds M.Com Degree from Kurukshetra University and Ph.D. from UCLA, USA. His interests include Merger & Acquisition, Efficiency of Security Markets, Global Capital Flow and Economic & Financial Liberalization policies of Govt of India. He was also awarded with various honors including ‘Haryana Ratan’ for institution building and Welfare of Society. FMS is also called world class marketing campus. Its missions are - To advance the understanding of marketing concepts by an integration and convergence of the marketing discipline and its consumer-oriented practice. - To empower budding marketers through information, education, simulation exercises, relationships and resources that will enrich their professional development and careers. Why FMS is good as compared to other B-schools Fees are very less i.e. rs20000 per year. It’s located in heart of the National Capital. Faculty Currently, there are about 33 full-time faculty members at Faculty of Management Studies. At present, first year batch at FMS has a strength of about 227 students. So, the student-faculty ratio at FMS is about 6.9:1. Notable Faculty members at FMS Delhi include:  Prof. Raj Dhankar (Dean) - Recipient of Common Wealth Scholarship and Post-Doctoral Studies Scholarship for higher studies in USA by Government of India     Dr. Harsh V Verma – Penned several books on Marketing and Brand Management, including one on Business Studies for NCERT Dr. Mala Sinha - Research interests include application of Vedanta, Zen, Taoism and Sufism in Organizational Excellence Prof. Raghav Gaiha - Visiting fellow at Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, U-Penn and MIT. Prof. Simrit Kaur - Published papers in the areas of privatisation, disinvestment and public regulation to her credit. In her professional capacity she has provided consultancy to various national and multinational companies.
