With May being designated as Mental Health Awareness Month, this seemed the perfect time to celebrate all the wonderful accomplishments the Northwestern Mental Health Center has achieved. Accomplishments made possible by the Community Mental Health Act signed into law by President John F. Kennedy in 1962. Accomplishments made possible by the vision and foresight of the innovative and courageous individuals within our communities who understood the opportunities that law afforded and made it a reality. Accomplishments that happen daily with staff who have a passion and a drive for helping others.
