"We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun"
Sometimes it’s the people no one imagines anything of who
do the things that no one can imagine.
People will forget what you said,
People will forget what you did,
But People will never forget how you made them feel.
"No act of Kindness, no matter how small.. Is ever wasted
"We don't see things as they are.
We see them as we are."
Watch your thoughts;
They become words
Watch your words;
The become actions
Watch your actions;
They become habits
Watch your habits;
they become character
Watch your character;
It becomes your destiny
"Do not forget small kindness
and Do not remeber small faults"
"Always aim for the moon,
even if you miss,
you'll land among the stars"
"Remember, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing
ever dies."
"You can't change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust the sails to reach
your destination"
"An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind"
"He who returns from a journey is not the same as he who left."
"Travelers never think that they are the foreigners"
"The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see"
“One’s destination is never a place, but rather a new way of looking at things.”
"The light heart lives long"
"Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or
we find it not."
"Never
Never
Never give up"
"If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound
ourselves"
Sometimes we expect more from others because we'd be willing to do that much
for them.
Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened
Don't make excuses for why you can't get it done. Focus on all the reasons why
you must make it happen.
The time is always right to do what is right.
Don't wait. The time will never be just right.
Never give up on the things that make you smile.
It's never too late - never too late to start over, never too late to be happy
Life isn't measured by the breathes we take but the moments that take our
breath away
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what
lies within us.
If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.
Happiness is like a butterfly.
The more you chase it, the more it eludes you.
But if you turn your attention to other things,
It comes and sits softly on your shoulder.
”It’s impossible” said pride. “It’s risky” said experience. “It’s pointless” said
reason. “Give it a try” whispered the heart
There are two ways of spreading light : to be the candle or the mirror that
reflects it.
“That’s precisely the question everyone should be asking—why the hell not? –
Why not you, why not now…”
"When you were born, you cried, and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that
when you die, the world cries and you rejoice."
Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty
mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students
if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He
shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf
balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course,
the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The
students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’
The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the
entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the
sand.The students laughed..
‘Now,’ said the professor as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that
this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—-your family,
your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions—-and if
everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The
pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car..
The sand is everything else—-the small stuff.
‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the
pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room
for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with
grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always
be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.
Take care of the golf balls first—-the things that really matter. Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand.
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The
professor smiled and said, ‘I’m glad you asked.’ The Beer just shows you that no
matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of Beers
with a friend.
Like sunlight, sunset, we appear, we disappear. We are so important to some, but
we are just passing through.
The obstacle itself is not enough to stop you. What stops you is your assumption
that you can’t get past that obstacle.
The problem is not that you have too much of this or too little of that. The
problem is, you’re waiting for perfect conditions that will never come.
The achievement that really happens, happens in the real world. The things that
get done, get done in less than ideal conditions.
There will always be challenges. And there will always be something you can do
to get beyond each one.
A hand has two functions: to grip an to release
But without both of these powers, it is useless.
Like newborn infants, we grab what comes near us, hoping to control it, taste it,
jam it into another child's eye.
But, the time we spend in control of our world, is the time we spend
letting go of others.
Ideas, stories, pride, girls in soft sweaters, video games, buttered noodles,
grip one for too long and you lose so much that you've never held.
