Los Angeles, San Francisco Sue Uber Over Business Pratices – Complaint

District Attorneys of Los Angeles and San Francisco have filed suit against the rideshare company Uber over allegedly misleading and illegal business practices. Uber is accused of charging passengers “Safe Ride Fees” as well as fees for riders who are picked up or dropped off at the airport. Both California cities are seeking an immediate halt to the offending policies, as well as civil penalties and restitution for riders.
